A man can go to any extent to prove his love for his car. Take for instance, this gentleman who went on to prove his affection for his 2005 BMW 645CI convertible in the most novel manner. When his BMW met with an accident and lost its identity, he took a detour from the normal-in-such-situations repair routine and decided to give his car a new lease of life; in a totally new avatar. He fixed an appointment with metal sculptor Bruce Gray and got the car transformed into a robot sculpture. A few tweaks coupled with a touch of brilliance and a handful of salvaged treasured cast aluminum parts gave the damaged car a new identity and Robot Sculpture 1 was born. The best part of this sculpture is that all the parts were attached using existing brackets and mounting holes. Heavy old steel plates from train tracks were used for the feet to provide perfect balance to the sculpture.
Featuring a movable head, swiveling multi-positionable hands and toting a pivoting energy pulse gun with movable fire button controller, the robot proudly stands as a testimony of its owner’s love. Click here to watch the robot sculpture in action and scroll down to watch some more pics.
